I have studied Astrology since 1975. My interest began with a book titled The Hand and The Horoscope by Fred Gettings. This was a most remarkable book that had photographs of many many hands along with the Astrological chart of the person who the hand belonged to.

I began compiling Astrological charts for others in 1980. Since that time I have compiled charts for many people…for friends, for family, for teachers and librarians, for PhDs and MDs, for psychologists and health care workers…and many others. I have been mainly involved in helping people understand the issues they are confronting and will confront in this life, and the opportunities for growth that they are having and will possibly have. Relationships have been a particular interest of mine.

I taught a college level course in Astrology through Central Wyoming College in Lander, Wyoming when I lived there. I also lectured on how Astrology could help each of us personally and in our relationships.

As a long-time dog breeder I have also compiled many dog charts, with special emphasis on preparing charts for litters of puppies. I wrote a column, “Astrology and Dog Breeding,” for the Samoyed Quarterly from 1993 until 2009.

I am not comfortable being a predictive astrologer. I use Astrology in a humanistic and wholistic manner addressing the complete person rather than focusing on events and issues. I look at a natal chart for areas of strength and areas where work must be done; I look at transits and progressions for trends, and difficult areas through which a person may need to navigate.

I also am involved with Celtic runes and have used runes for personal guidance for a number of years. Before runes, I used the Medicine Cards that were developed by Jamie Sams. For some reason, I personally relate more to the Celtic runes than the Medicine Cards, and I will continue to work with the runes. I find runework helpful to focus on specific issues and for daily guidance.

I have kept dream journals since 1980 and am now filling up Dream Journal #26. I use a simple college-ruled spiral notebook, the kind that any student might carry to class to take notes in. As I have noted my dreams… I have found that many things I have dreamed that have come to be. My dreams also point out, sometimes with humor and sometimes with symbols that are not readily understood, issues that I am dealing with in my daily life, and also issues that I am dealing with on a subconscious level. By acknowledging the symbols and situations that appear in my dreams I empower my subconscious self.
